Spirit Doll Art Meditation & Creativity Workshop

Increase your creative confidence in this 6 hour workshop as you explore, use and interpret materials intuitively. In this class- anything goes!

Creative fears dissolve with insights as you make your doll using yarn wrapping and fabric without any pre planning. Find peace and strength within during this relaxing day of play and sharing.

Your one of a kind Spirit Doll will embody a personal message and may become a fibre art sculpture, fashion accessory, quilt art inspiration, or simply enjoyed as a memory of your unique experience. Display options will be explored.

You are invited to take this opportunity to experience, express, discover, or expand your creativity in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

Suitable for all skill levels. No sewing necessary. Supplies are provided but can be supplemented through class sharing.

After attending the workshop, participants report increased creativity, confidence and a sense of peace with life.

Fabric Post Cards

Learn an easy strip method for making a landscape or abstract postcard then start embellish using couching, overlays and stitching. These mini works of art can be framed, mailed or traded among friends. Your design ideas and skills can be transferred to future quilting projects.

Fabric Faux Vase

Make a fabric faux vase to brighten your home or workplace. This free standing form fits over a water container. Learn basic joining and finishing methods and embellish to your hearts delight with couching, trims, overlays, quilting or stitching, beads, tassel or doo dad.

LECTURE "Celebrate Yourself"

Meet the artist and hear about her journey with the spirit dolls. See the "Journey of the Spirit Dolls" Quilt exhibited locally and nationally in Juried shows.

This one hour slide show and lecture will inspire and delight you.

It contains: - artistic beginnings, - inspiration and development of the "Journey of the Spirit Dolls" quilt, -individual spirit dolls and poetry reading and an example of the process.

A small trunk show is included.

This presentation encourages and inspires: the use of personal story and intuition for creative inspiration, exploration of fibre arts techniques and maintaining wellness through creativity.
